Legion of Honour – Wilf Pound
On November 11 a group of Camerons traveled to Brighton, Ontario to present Wilfred Pound his Legion of Honour medal at the local Legion branch. Mr Pound will be 95 in December but you couldn’t tell by how quick he was to get up and greet fellow Camerons who were there to support him on this fine day. Col Kelly said “My Remembrance Day memories are many from parading in Montreal to Ottawa to Afghanistan as well as running the gamut of parade appointments. November 11, 2014 will hold a special place in my memory as I not only enjoyed a parade in small town Ontario but I was afforded the great honour to be in the presence of a man who truly loves his Regiment and continues to take great pride in the service of fellow Camerons. It remains our responsibility to honour our forefathers and to carry the Cameron regimental spirit proudly.
