77th Reunion Weekend–April 5 and 6, 2024

The 77th Reunion Weekend will take place Friday, April 5, and Saturday, 6, 2024.

The Wine and Cheese reception will take place in the Officer’s mess at the Drill Hall on Friday, April 5th, at 1930 hrs. The Mayor has confirmed his attendance to present the Community Service Award at 2000 hrs. This event is an excellent time to get together in a relaxed atmosphere. There is a $20 charge, payable at the door.

In the afternoon of Saturday, April 6, the Regiment will hold its keystone event for the weekend, a parade to the National War Memorial to mark the Regiment’s participation in the attack on Vimy Ridge and commemorate the lives lost during the First World War. The Regiment will mount two guards, the Pipes and Drums, and the Colours will be on parade. The Cadets are expected to provide a large contingent and the Association has been invited to form a Marching Contingent and lay a wreath on the Cenotaph. The CO will take the parade at 1500 hrs and the parade is expected to return to the Drill Hall by 1600 hrs. If you would like to be part of the Marching contingent, let the Association Membership Secretary know.

The annual Reunion Dinner will take place in the Drill Hall on Saturday, April 6. Timings are 1800 for 1900 hrs. The cost is $95 per person and the standard meal is Roast Beef au Jus. Vegetarian and gluten free options are available.

You can pay for the dinner in advance to representatives in each of the messes, to the gentlemen in the Museum on Thursday evenings, or, preferably, e-transfer to the Association Treasurer at chofoassoctreasurer@gmail.com. If none of these options work for you, please reach out to the Membership Secretary to make alternate arrangements for payment.
