Legion of Honour – Alf Brooks

On December 19th, former Private Alfred Brooks was presented his Legion of Honour medal by LCol. Martial De Reviers, French Liaison Officer at the community hall in Severn Bridge ON.  Alf was accompanied by his extended family and his many friends. From the Regiment,  LCol Robert Patchett, CO; RSM, MWO Mike Lever, Cpl Chuck Drezin and Pte Zach Dwyer, piper, were in attendance. Representing the Regimental Association, President Jeff Hill.  Jeff nominated Alf and orchestrated the event, coordinating with granddaughter Maria to make the presentation of the medal a special moment for Alf and family.  Alf and his ‘harem’ have attended the Association Annual Reunion Dinner in Ottawa consistently over the past years.  CTV link: http://ow.ly/W7Qxh
