The Mayor’s Award
The award caption reads: “Mayor’s Award For Outstanding Support To The Community.” It was presented the The Cameron Highlanders of Ottawa on June 4th 1997 by Jacquelin Holzman, then mayor of the city of Ottawa. The award is to recognize volunteer efforts in the local community by members of the Cameron Regimental Family over and above their military contributions. This award is presented annually at the Friday Meet and Greet (wine and cheese) of the Annual Reunion Weekend. Selection is made by a committee of past recipients and nominations are to be submitted to the Association no later than mid-September.
